The company is recruiting a CNC Operator to join its team.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• 2-4 years of previous experience setting up and operating CNC Machining Centers
• Machine shop training in mechanics, shop math, and machine procedures

Duties/Responsibilities

• Begins run-on part and completes machining sequences, checking frequently or as required to assure conformity to required tolerances, proper dimensions, and specifications.
• Must be willing/able to flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends as business needs require.
• Operates all equipment following established operational procedures, safety procedures, shop practices, and sequences. Anticipates problems and prevents damage and scrap by taking appropriate precautionary care.
• Read and understand blueprints, micrometers/calipers, and other inspection equipment.
• Review the setup sheet and specifications to determine the finished workpiece’s setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions.
• Sets up and operates any type of CNC machine and equipment to produce close-tolerance parts following delivery schedules and man-hour requirements.
• Works from prints, sketches, drawings, shop routings, machine tapes, machining procedures, shop practices, engineering, and other information.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read and use mechanical measuring devices
• Ability to work independently, with limited supervision
