Job Profile
The company is hiring a CNC Operator who will be involved in the machining or processing of metal and non-metallic parts by operating CNC Milling Machines.
Education Level
- Not mentioned, yet a high School Diploma will be a plus
Work Experience
- Experience in Okuma, Mazak, and Mori lathe machines (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to run CNC vertical mills/robo drills
- Check and perform preventive maintenance daily
- Communicate with superintendents, managers, production control, and quality personnel for assignments, and resolve quality issues.
- Document all issues written to ensure a smooth transition between shifts
- Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Follow the in-process part inspection process, and notify the Supervisor/Lead on the occurrence of non-conformance.
- Optimize set-up times, maximize machine utilization
- Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, bar feeder, and live tooling.
- Setup CNC lathe machines to complete full cycles to produce a high and low volume of parts, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and inspect parts with a high degree of precision
- Troubleshoot programs and make adjustments when needed
- Understand specifications of the tasks by reading blueprints, route instructions
- Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.

- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment

- Consistently stand for an entire shift
- Great work ethic, reliable, positive attitude
- Knowledge of all required measuring equipment which includes calipers, gauges
- Knowledge of metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe/mill tooling
- Physically able to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components
- Proficient math skills
- Simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English
- Strong knowledge of machining practices and materials is a must, as is general mechanical knowledge
- Willingness to be trained with a desire to learn
- Work scheduled hours and comply with the company’s timekeeping policy and all other company policies
