Job Profile

The company is searching for a CNC Operator who will operate CNC Machining Centers to produce parts to Customer Specifications.

Loads and Runs CNC programs.

De-Burrs parts and cleans as time allows.

Performs routine maintenance on Machining Centers, such as filling way oil.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED
• Trade School or Apprenticeship Program (preferred) or a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Machine Operator.

Work Experience

• Possess work-related experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Changes Dull Tooling and adjusts Machine Offsets.
• Checks Part Dimensions using Micrometers, Gage Pins Vernier Calipers, Drop Indicators, Comparators, Thread gauges, and Various other Precision Tools. Records these Measurements as necessary on the Part Traveler.
• De-Burrs Parts to Customer Specifications and cleans the parts as necessary.
• Maintains a Clean Work Environment.
• Provide routine maintenance on CNC Machining Centers.
• Use Band Saws and simple tools such as Hex Wrenches, Screw Drivers, and Soft Hammers.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• A good understanding of Geometry and the ability to calculate angles.
• Ability to apply common sense when using equipment and making decisions.
• Ability to calculate Machine Offsets using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to communicate effectively to co-workers through Verbal and written communications as well as other employees of the organization.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to solve practical problems as well as Complex Fixturing problems.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Occasionally required to sit, the ability to stand for extended periods is required.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and 70 pounds with assistance.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally exposed to vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
