Job Profile
The company is searching for a CNC Operator who will operate CNC Machining Centers to produce parts to Customer Specifications.
Loads and Runs CNC programs.
De-Burrs parts and cleans as time allows.
Performs routine maintenance on Machining Centers, such as filling way oil.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
- Trade School or Apprenticeship Program (preferred) or a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Machine Operator.
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Changes Dull Tooling and adjusts Machine Offsets.
- Checks Part Dimensions using Micrometers, Gage Pins Vernier Calipers, Drop Indicators, Comparators, Thread gauges, and Various other Precision Tools. Records these Measurements as necessary on the Part Traveler.
- De-Burrs Parts to Customer Specifications and cleans the parts as necessary.
- Maintains a Clean Work Environment.
- Provide routine maintenance on CNC Machining Centers.
- Use Band Saws and simple tools such as Hex Wrenches, Screw Drivers, and Soft Hammers.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- A good understanding of Geometry and the ability to calculate angles.
- Ability to apply common sense when using equipment and making decisions.
- Ability to calculate Machine Offsets using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to communicate effectively to co-workers through Verbal and written communications as well as other employees of the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to solve practical problems as well as Complex Fixturing problems.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Occasionally required to sit, the ability to stand for extended periods is required.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and 70 pounds with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
