The company is recruiting a CNC Operator to join its team.
Education Level
- A High School Degree and further qualifications will be a plus
Work Experience
- 2 years of setup and operation of CNC equipment
- Proven experience as a CNC operator
- HAAS CNC Mill and Lathe Experience (VF-5SS, ST-35Y, ST-10Y)
- CAD/CAM Experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Read work instructions and Blueprints
- Operate CNC equipment as directed
- Inspect materials following company quality standards
- Must be able to use basic hand and various measuring and test equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Input data into the MRP system.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Basic computer skills required
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
- Ability to interact with a diversity of people and diverse levels of personnel and work well in a team.
- Familiarity with measuring devices Dial Indicators, Calipers, and Micrometers.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Understanding of CNC machine function and G-Code language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Set up HAAS CNC Mill and Lathe (VF-5SS, ST-35Y, ST-10Y) making required adjustments to tooling, collets, etc.
- Troubleshoots and resolves various problems related to the set-up and operation of tooling, work holding, etc. of a CNC machine tool.
- Read and interpret drawings, programs, and other documentation to visualize the machining required and sequence of operations.
- Makes input to CNC consistent with set up procedure. Performs dry run to verify setup before production run. Recognizes and reports errors in programming and operations. Collaborates with the Engineering Department in correcting errors.
- Provides necessary counts, processes documentation correctly, and maintains daily production logs or production worksheets.
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
