Job Profile
The company is recruiting a CNC Operator/Machinist to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Work Experience
- Possess 6 months of relevant CNC Machining experience or successful completion of a Technical Diploma/Certification in CN
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations.
- Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Load/unload, gauge, and change cutting tools on mills and lathes.
- Maintain continuity between work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
- Maintain specifications by observing and measuring drilling, milling, and boring operations.
- Run programs on mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
- Sets up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers, indicating services and trimming heads.
- Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and workpieces while adhering to work instructions and quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Possess basic math skills
Preferred Experiences
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to read gauging equipment
- Experience with Mori Seiki or Toyoda machines
- Familiar with basic M and G Codes and GDT
- Fanuc Controls
- Lean Manufacturing experience
