Job Profile

The company is hiring a CNC Operator (Sheet Metal Technician) who will work with advanced machinery and tools to shape metal components that are part of our innovative building solutions.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma (a plus)

Work Experience

  • Experience operating CNC Laser and sheet metal equipment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Create complex parts, such as transition pieces and elbows, using both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
  • Develop templates and sketches for standard and experimental products.
  • Follow all safety protocols and job hazard risk assessments (JHRAs).
  • Inspect and measure parts to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Lay out and fabricate structural components using plates, sheets, angles, channels, and bar stock.
  • Maintain accurate production and labor records.
  • Operate and set up CNC Laser machines to cut various shapes and sizes from ferrous metals.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen events and 5S programs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment, including Laser, Press Brake, and Foam Press.
  • Program machines for custom cuts and layouts to optimize material usage.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints independently.
  • Use sheet metal equipment, including brake press and wall press foaming machines, to meet product specifications.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks including standing, bending, lifting (up to 35 lbs.), and operating machinery for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and participate in team-based improvement efforts.
