Job Profile

The company is seeking a CNC Plasma Table Operator who will be responsible for the production cutting of all components, which make up the parts in the manufacturing process.

Be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions and have great attention to detail.

Education Level

• Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• 2+ years of experience in setting up, operating, and maintaining a CNC plasma table
• Experience in driving a forklift and operation of overhead hoists is a plus
• Press Brake and plate roller experience is a plus.
• Experience in reading shop drawings and architectural drawings is a plus
• Preferred experience with nesting software and CAD

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate at levels required to create a safe environment for you and your fellow stakeholders
• Communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other Operators to ensure the quality finished product
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments
• Manage plate and sheet inventory
• Operate CNC Plasma and Press Brakes
• Operate overhead crane safely and properly to load and unload burn table including identification of manufactured parts and disposal of scrap material.
• Perform all burning/cutting operations required to support fabrication requirements
• Perform quality control checks of jobs in the process
• Perform routine maintenance on the machines/table
• Stage parts in a manner that is efficient for the next stage in the fabrication cycle
• Test and evaluate new processes to improve the fabrication process
• Troubleshoot programs and give feedback to CAM operator

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to learn quickly and attention to detail
• Ability to use a measuring tape
• Ability to work a flexible schedule if required (scheduled or unscheduled overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays).
• Good communication skills
• Position requires the ability to lift, push, and pull 50. lbs., bending, kneeling, walking, and sitting
• Safely and efficiently unload steel plates and tubing into the proper storage area or bin.
