Job Profile
The company (Astro-Tek Industries-ATI) is hiring a CNC Programmer who will develop programs, tool paths and posts them in support of the machining efforts on small hardware, jigs, fixtures, and large tooling components for the aerospace and defense industries.
Educational Qualification
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience in CNC Programming (required)
- 1+ years of experience in computer modeling software (preferred)
- Aerospace experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications.
- Analyzing and selecting feeds and speeds.
- Checking completed programs by running simulations or tests.
- Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.
- Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
- Creating instructions for operators/setup personnel.
- Inputting the product design into the computer modeling software.
- Programming and adjusting the machine settings until the desired specifications are met.
- Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
- Training staff on the operation procedures.
- Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
