Job Profile

The company is seeking a CNC Programmer to join its manufacturing team.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a 5-year College or University program Certificate; or 2 to 4 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CNC machine certification (a plus)

Work Experience

  • Possess 5+ years of Mastercam experience
  • Experienced in CNC setup
  • Experienced with Onsrud routers

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform CNC setup on vertical and horizontal mills and lathes when necessary
  • Analyze drawings, sketches, and designs to determine the best program and process to manufacture precision parts
  • Create job travelers and manufacturing operations from material and hardware to outside process
  • Observe the operation of the machine on a trial run to improve program cycle time
  • Program vertical and horizontal mills and lathes
  • Write setup instructions and tool list to optimize setup time

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Able to use and read basic measuring devices (measuring tape, calipers, etc.)
  • Knowledge of design software and manufacturing software, as well as standard office programs.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands or arms, and talk or hear

  • Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Frequently exposed to office equipment and moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, certain areas of the work environment may have elevated noise levels and require hearing protection.
