Job Profile
The company is seeking a CNC Programmer who will write programs for numerical control systems using Mazatrol and ESPRIT CAM systems, and manual methods that produce parts on time, efficiently, within drawing tolerances, and consistent with the company quality definitions.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of field-specific Technical or Vocational education (preferred)
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience programming NC machines in precision part production.
- Field-specific Technical or Vocational experience or education may be considered in lieu of experience.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Repairing, maintaining, or monitoring the performance or operation of any equipment, machinery, or manufacturing process, the malfunction or disruption of which could result in injury or property damage
- The handling, packaging, processing, storage, disposal, or transport of hazardous material
- The operation of a motor vehicle, other vehicles, equipment, machinery, or power tools
- The operation, maintenance, or oversight of critical services and infrastructure including, but not limited to, electric, gas, and water utilities, power generation, or distribution.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to work overtime on an as-needed basis, involving extra hours during the week, Fridays, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays and holidays may be required.
- Effective communication skills.
- Effective skills are essential in reading blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and sketches.
- Must be able to create and edit CNC Programs using Esprit CAM software.
- Operational knowledge of each assigned machine in the NC Department.
- Operational knowledge of precision measuring and inspection equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Balance of the workday may require bending, squatting, and lifting.
- Mobility is required between multi-building complexes covering several acres.
- Must be able to routinely work sitting at a computer workstation for 80% of a normal workday.
