Job Profile

The company is seeking a CNC Saw Operator who will properly set up and operate manual and automatic feed band saws to cut raw metal stock to required lengths.

Support all Lathe and Mill operations in the Cedar Park facility and work closely with the machinists to produce quality finished parts.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• 1 or more years of relevant metalworking experience (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
• Deburr, polish, and pin stamp finished parts to required specifications
• Determine efficient feed and blade speed requirements for various types of materials and alloys
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment
• Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment
• Operate, perform set-up changes, and perform first-article inspections on production parts
• Read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
• Under the direction of a supervisor or experienced machinist, responsible for quality parts produced in a timely, safe, and efficient manner
• Use simple arithmetic to determine cut lengths for lathe bar feed jobs
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned

• Work off a dispatch report to ensure that jobs are run in proper sequence.

• Must have basic knowledge of using measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools.
• Must know basic math, blueprints, and routers.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to communicate, converse with, and exchange information through the spoken and written word.
• Regularly required to operate a computer and other office machinery using finger dexterity for typing and writing.
• Regularly required to perform light physical effort to lift or move lightweight materials up to 40 pounds.
• Regularly required to sit or stand, bend, and reach.
• Regularly required to view a computer screen.
