Job Profile
The company is searching for a CNC Setup Operator who will set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of related experience or demonstrated mechanical, machinist, or tooling experience.
- CNC setup experience or demonstrated proficiency with related machine set-up, tooling, and comprehension of blueprints and set-up sheets.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Follows established procedures for operating various conventional or CNC manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling tapping, turning, milling, and stamping to fabricate, form, or shape manufactured parts, tools, or parts assembly from raw materials.
- Manufactures enough quality products at or below budgeted production costs to meet demand.
- Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
- Observe established safe working, and housekeeping procedures and promptly correct or notify supervisor of any hazardous situations.
- Precision machine set-up and operation.
- Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
- Resolves issues related to production, machinery, and processing.
- Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
- Sets up and operates CNC and other related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
- Tests and calibrates components and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- All supplemental duties, responsibilities, or non-essential requirements as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to produce a quality part at a productive rate while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must wear proper PPE required for the role, including safety glasses, hand gloves, ear plugs, and steel-toe safety shoes.
- Successful completion of the ASCO Numatics CNC Training Program.
- While performing, duties may be required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, or lift.
- Willingness and ability to work in a manufacturing machinery environment with conditions and elements including but not limited to high noise, dust, dirt, oil, grease, chemical products, and hand tools.
- Willingness and ability to work the required schedule.
