Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Construction Supervisor who will be responsible for supporting all the field construction activities including material supply, staffing, tooling, and equipment needs, and interacting with onsite customer representatives daily.
The position will report to the Construction or Project Manager.
Education Level
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
Work Experience
- Typically, 5 years since first degree or 5+ years of relevant construction supervision experience
- General construction experience and knowledge
- Associated construction certifications preferred (health, safety, and environmental practices, inspection and operation of construction equipment, hoisting and lifting equipment, rigging, etc.)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Accountable for site logistics, including tools and equipment, contract materials, and workforce scheduling to execute site construction activities.
- Direct the various construction trades and define their respective scopes of work. Manage Labor Relations per local requirements
- Ensure that all CB&I field construction and site subcontractors understand their scope of work
- Establish a detailed construction plan and schedule to provide for the efficient utilization of all labor, construction supplies, and equipment.
- Establishes medium- and long-term career and personal development goals
- Expert knowledge of hoisting and lifting equipment and associated activities; development and adherence to all hoisting and lift plans.
- Knowledge of and assuring the safe operation of all construction equipment and tooling.
- Prepare for and participate in project review meetings as requested
- Responsible for the management of site employees to comply with all labor standards and the proper treatment of employees per Company policies.
- Responsible for site welding production efficiencies and quality
- Responsible for the on-site implementation of and adherence to all Company Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security workplace programs and standards
- Responsible for meeting construction schedules and completion dates
- Utilizes communication skills appropriate to the environment, resulting in effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Work directly with the site construction team to manage construction personnel and address employee relations issues.
- Work to a schedule and ensure project milestones are met.
- Work with the Project Manager to ensure all consumer/client site requirements are met.
