Job Profile

The company is looking for a Corporate Quality Lead who will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the Corporate Quality Assurance program in accordance with TC Energy’s Quality requirements and specifications.

The successful candidate must have strong field experience, Quality systems experience, and the ability to think strategically, identify best practices and implement across stakeholders from multiple department groups.

The position will report to the Corporate Quality Manager.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicants should have completed a Post-Secondary education in a related field.

Work Experience

  • The candidates should have 6 years of experience in pipeline/facilities construction

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of related experience
  • Auditor Certification
  • Capability to allocate resources effectively
  • Capability to report quality and construction issues
  • Experience in pipeline coating, welding, and NDE activities
  • Knowledge of TC Energy’s construction specifications
  • Registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact to Business Unit, providing Quality Assurance support and coordinating Quality Assurance resources
  • Be the key communication channel to share best practices/lessons learned and continuous Improvement into and from the Business unit
  • Champion quality culture and awareness throughout the Business Unit
  • Coordinate the execution of Quality Assurance reviews with the Business Units
  • Establish and evolve processes and the standardization of Quality documentation to support the Business units
  • Influence TC Energy Values – Safety, Responsibly, Collaboration, and Integrity
  • Monitor effectiveness of systemic Nonconformance dispositions and Corrective Action plans within the Business Unit
  • Progress key metrics with the Business Units including Cost of Quality
  • Provide definition to contract documents for Quality expectations, ensuring the inclusion of Contractors’ QMS and Quality Plans requirements
  • Support the Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) program and implementation of action plans
  • Support the Root Cause Analysis process, as required
  • Work closely with Business Unit Quality Team to assure compliance with all Corporate Quality requirements related to TC Energy Management Systems
  • Work closely with Business Unit Quality Team to assure compliance with Regulatory conditions related to Quality management

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and standards
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable industry Codes and Best Practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control concepts and their application
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities, including construction inspection
  • Strong skills in collaboration and building strong relationships as well as decision-making

Other Requirements

  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a driver’s abstract (a record) for review
