The company is searching for a Corrosion/Inspection Specialist to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- The applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- The candidates are expected to have previous related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Have certifications as follows-
- API 510, API 570, and API 653
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector
ASNT, SNT-TC-1A, NDE Level II in-
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT-R) (AC/DC yoke).
- NACE Certified Coating Inspector.
- Penetrant Testing (PT-R) Solvent and water washable).
- Radiographic Testing (RT-R) (Film interpretation).
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT-R) (Digital thickness and longitudinal wave).
- Visual Testing (VT).
Duties/Responsibilities
- Achieve API 510, 570, and 653 Certification.
- Achieve Level II UT Certification and support the site Phased Array Program.
- Approve API repair plans.
- Assist plant engineers in the development of Equipment Repair Plans and review the design and hold point requirements.
- Be a Subject Matter Expertise in the inspections and repairs of Rubber lined, glass-lined equipment, and FRP-constructed equipment.
- Knowledge of Phased Array and Radiographic techniques.
- Perform Equipment Inspections and NDT.
- Provide off-site vendor surveillance for equipment fabrication and repairs.
- Support the Luling Plant Painting Program and provide technical guidance on coatings and linings.
- Support the Luling Plant Welding Program and provide technical guidance on weld repairs and inspection methods.
- Support the C&I Engineers with the management of the Risk-Based Inspection program.
- Work with Area MTC Specialists to coordinate inspection work during shutdowns.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and part of a diverse team composed of engineers, contract inspectors, maintenance personnel, production personnel, and leadership.
- Able to attain a level of expertise in API codes and standards and assumed responsibilities as allowed by the certification;
- Fundamental understanding of personal computers, and aptitude for Windows-based programs (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Good decision-making, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
