Job Profile

The company is searching for a Craftsperson to join its Construction Department.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older

Work Experience

• Experience in production or similar military environment (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conducts regular inspections of tools, safety, and production equipment
• Develops knowledge of maintenance files, parts, and vendors, and accesses information on the department computer as required
• Documents time spent, work performed and parts used on projects by completing time records through the use of the Maintenance Management System
• Experience in civil construction & building maintenance
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of production processes, equipment, and operations in the interest of diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions
• Maintains manuals of replacement parts, specifications, blueprints of equipment, and maintenance requirements to facilitate repairs. Also, maintains such files and records in an orderly manner for future reference
• May provide work direction to less experienced trainees
• Participates actively in safety and skill training in pursuit of personal improvement
• Performs welding or general maintenance duties as required in repairing production and facility equipment
• Possesses general computer use knowledge
• Understanding of diesel systems
• May perform reasonably similar or related duties as required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Good attendance record

On-the-Job Training Requirements

• Complete ADM safety, food safety, quality, and environmental training
• Participate in company-planned operations training
• Equipment training may include but is not limited to JLG, forklift, non-DOT truck, reach lift, etc.

Working Conditions

• Ambient conditions – The work area is, typically, a non-air-conditioned production environment. Hot or cold Temperatures, all seasonal elements, both indoors and outdoors
• Atmosphere: Dust, soybean
• The company provides proper PPE
• Require respirators will need to be clean-shaven.
• Must be able to work around noise levels that may reach or exceed 85 decibels and require the use of hearing protection for most of the work shift

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds frequently, up to 55 pounds on an occasional basis, and up to 50 pounds overhead
• Ability to move about or to a work site by ascending/descending stairs, bending, kneeling, and prolonged periods of standing and sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting frequently
• Ability to operate equipment or machinery that may be located at different heights; may require work on ladders, scaffolding, or other work at heights or in confined spaces
• Ability to traverse up to 2 miles during a workday
• Requires ability and willingness to wear respirators
