Job Profile

The company is seeking a Customer Service Representative who will take inbound calls to field customers’ concerns and questions, with a focus on processing and researching customer orders using our SAP computer system.

Make outbound calls to proactively receive orders as well as complete research about the progress of an order.

May route calls to other departments if deemed necessary, and will work closely with AR, Admin, Sales Reps, and branches to resolve customer issues.

Be able to use product knowledge, customer service tools, and acquired sales skills to effectively service each customer in a professional manner, and the phone conversation.

Education Level

• Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• Some experience in handling compressed gases
• Customer service or sales experience
• Set up and promote welding equipment and processes

Duties/Responsibilities

• Advise customers on equipment and materials needed and procedures to follow to complete tasks they wish to perform.
• Arrange for delivery of cylinders and hard goods.
• Assists in the warehouse as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to our walk-in and remote customers
• Sells industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to perform work during prolonged standing for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to routinely lift 25-50 lbs., and occasionally lift 51-80 lbs., frequent bending.
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
• Computer skills with comprehensive knowledge of computer order entry systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work overtime, when necessary.
