Job Profile

The company is searching for a Die Maintenance Technician who will handle preventative maintenance on casting Dies in accordance with standards.

Education Level

  • Industrial Tool/Die/Welding/Machining certificate, or a 2-year technical degree

Work Experience

  • Experience building or maintaining high-volume casting (or stamping) dies, welding ability, and machining.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, welding, machining, or military experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Carry out emergency repairs if any issues arise.
  • Log daily book entries to communicate activities, issues, and progress of die work.
  • Occasionally travel to support off-site activities at other Toyota facilities and Toyota affiliates.
  • Perform die modifications for surface quality and accuracy.
  • Perform machining, finishing, and assembly of dies.
  • Perform welding, grinding, operating cranes, machining, & fabrication.
  • Support inline tryouts and line calls of dies.
  • Work in a team setting.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Basic administrative skills, including documentation of work performed by written/electronic methods.
  • Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge.
  • Technical knowledge and skills in the following areas: Tool and Die, Welding, and Machining.

  • Frequent use of mechanical tools and machinery

  • Standing, lifting, and physical work
  • Work tied to production schedules and downtime limits
