Job Profile
The company is searching for a Die Welder Journeyperson who will be responsible for repairing, remodeling, and maintaining all types of dies/fixtures using various types of materials.
Education Level
- Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus
- A US Department of Labor Certificate of Completion in the Die Welder trade
- At least 18 years of age
Work Experience
- At least 6 years of related experience as a Die Welder
Duties/Responsibilities
- Document and create weld maps when required
- Drive a hi-lo or operate an overhead crane to transport dies as well as other heavy equipment
- Fabricate or repair dies for production while performing required welding using MIG, TIG, and ARC welding processes
- Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures
- Make in-press repairs of dies/tooling
- Perform die repair, using mills, lathes, and grinders as well as hand tools
- Read blueprints to perform die repair/fabrication
- Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, and micrometers, to repair/fabricate dies
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities\
- Basic computer skills
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must be willing to work flexible shift hours
