Job Profile
The company is looking for a District Sales Manager (Welding) who will take charge of nurturing distributor relationships and fueling growth across the welding portfolio.
Create awareness, develop new business, and make an impact by representing our welding products and driving sales through distributors.
Education Level
- Technical Certificate, Associate, or Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or Business Discipline.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience; selling on value and demonstrating commercial and industrial products.
- Previous experience with distribution channels.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Design and execute distributor training programs to ensure product knowledge and effective marketing strategies.
- Devise account plans with strategic end users and distributors to boost sales and market share.
- Foster strong distributor relationships that advocate for and drive growth.
- Influence top decision-makers with compelling product value propositions tailored to their needs.
- Manage a steady pipeline of sales opportunities, consistently progressing prospects and tracking outcomes.
- Organize product trials & demos to drive conversions and cross-selling, maximizing potential.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to build effective account plans, manage sales opportunities, and effective account management.
- Ability to travel overnight at least 50%.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs or CRM systems.
- Strong ability to communicate the value offering to all levels of end-user management.
- Strong communication, presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong value selling skills with the ability to convert new business.
- Technical aptitude to be able to sell a full product portfolio.
