Job Profile

The company is looking for a Dredge and Plant Operator who will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and maintenance of the plant.

Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including cutting and welding, in a hydraulic dredging environment.

Safely and efficiently perform maintenance or repairs on all plant and mobile equipment.

Track maintenance and repair records.

Use a skid steer, front-end loader, man lift and clean around plant equipment and maintain roadways and parking areas.

Additionally, participate in safety inspections and plant safety programs.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess a minimum 1 year of experience in Operating Equipment

Duties/Responsibilities

• Diagnose and assist in trouble-shooting when the process is interrupted
• Inspect and lubricate equipment and plant operations
• Maintain consistent and efficient operation of a plant
• Perform daily inspection of equipment and work area
• Perform preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections as needed
• Perform repairs and routine maintenance on plant and mobile equipment
• Responsible for operating a variety of equipment utilized in dredge mining
• Test material to maintain specs, no DOT training necessary
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Bi-lingual is a plus

Working Conditions

• Require operating with larger equipment which is typically air-conditioned.
• There will be times when outside assignments may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet, or dry.
• May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.
• Regularly requires long hours and weekend work
