The company is recruiting an Electric Motor Mechanic who will diagnose, adjust, repair, install, and overhaul mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment such as Gearboxes or Pumps.

Work Experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts and equipment
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using test equipment and calibration devices
• Dismantle and re-assemble equipment using hoists and hand tools
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers or gauges
• Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul of gearboxes and pumps
• Overhaul and test equipment to ensure operating efficiency
• Read and understand operating manuals
• Record repairs and maintenance performed
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
• Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily based on mechanical (not electronic) principles
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications

• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources
• Repairing equipment or systems using the needed tools
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Work Environment

• Exposure to physical risk may include confined spaces, electrical shock, fumes, gases, dust, odors, moving parts, radiant energy, slippery or uneven surfaces, and vibration.
• May be susceptible to eyestrain.
• May be susceptible to repetitive motion.
• Physical effort may include lifting up to 50 pounds as needed
• Work is normally performed in an indoor shop
• Work requires continual standing, hearing, vision, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, reaching, twisting, walking, and frequent handling and occasional carrying
