Job Profile
The company is searching for an Electrical Assembler who will be responsible for assembling electrical equipment, mainly overhead cranes.
Reads and interprets instructions, assembles parts and tools, and fits electronic components together.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Trade School or military experience (a plus)
Work Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is required; prior overhead crane electrical and lifting industry preferred
- Experience with three-phase motor controls and variable frequency drives is strongly preferred
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adjust or repair electrical equipment
- Assemble and build products such as electrical panels, electronic motor control devices, inner connections between components, and sensing equipment
- Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering, or micro-welding equipment
- Fabricate or modify parts, using shop equipment
- Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required for material handling
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports
- Test product to ensure conformance to specifications as a finished product
- Use best practices to meet production schedule and quality assurance requirements
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
- Work safely and responsibly in an industrial environment by adhering to all OSHA and internal safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to create and interpret technical documentation
- Ability to lift and operate heavy electrical machinery
- Ability to operate and understand electrical meters
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic computer skills such as emailing, record keeping, ordering, inventory management, and form filling
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and Verify
- Willingness to work in flexible shifts
