Job Profile
The company (Collins Aerospace) is looking for an Electrical Test Engineer to join its team.
Education Level
- Typically requires a Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience OR
- An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience or in the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Analyze and troubleshoot electro-mechanical failures
- Assist with Design and Quality Engineering changes and Capital Expenditure research
- Build electronic circuit boards for testing stations
- Conduct process measurements to ensure control over variables
- Develop and maintain tooling for current and new products
- Drive continuous improvement in yield, quality, cost, and schedule using Six Sigma and ACE tools
- Ensure compliance with EH&S standards
- Manage professional relationships with customers and government entities
- Manage SAP Work Orders, Routing, and BOMs
- Optimize machine layouts for efficiency and productivity
- Prepare RCCA and failure analysis reports for senior engineering
- Propose and specify procedures for tool fabrication and equipment assembly
- Recommend new technological equipment and materials acquisitions
- Support software integration and system configuration
- Support TPM with specialized equipment like Laser Weld and Digital Xray
- Troubleshoot and resolve production process issues with existing equipment
- Update and improve process documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering discipline degree with 4+ years of experience working within small electromechanical or gyroscope-similar assembly/products
- ERP experience such as SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Multitasking mentality
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Software such as MS Word, MS Excel/Macro, MS PPT, etc.
- RCCA tool practices such as Six Sigma and ACE
- Related Mechanical/Electrical Process Engineering experience
- Some Experience with Final Acceptance Test Equipment (i.e. Multi-Axis Rate Table and Vibration Heads and Environment Stress Systems)

- Cutting-Edge Technology Integration: Learn to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including Laser Weld, Vacuum Furnace, and Digital X-ray, and stay ahead with the latest advancements in aerospace manufacturing technology
- Continuous Improvement Techniques: Master industry-leading quality tools such as Six Sigma and ACE to drive continuous improvement in yield, quality, cost, and productivity
- Professional and Technical Relationship Management: Develop skills in managing relationships with customers and government entities, enhancing your professional and technical communication capabilities
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with design, quality, and process engineering teams to support product transitions from design to full-rate production, ensuring efficiency and innovation in every project
