The company is recruiting an Electrician to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants must be licensed Electricians (required)
• Dual-ticketed Electrician/Millwright (preferred)

Work Experience

• Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial setting (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist with and learn to troubleshoot production and facilities equipment breakdowns
• Fabrication for machinery and equipment
• Installation of electrical equipment
• Preventive maintenance of all production and environmental control equipment
• Safety precautions and proper isolation of circuits up to and including 600 volts single and three-phase systems

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Aptitude to learn new skills, including electrical theory and drafting, CNCs, PLCs, etc.
• Proven track record for performance and attendance in an existing position
• Strong academics in math and physics
• Strong background in manufacturing related to injection moulding, coating, and assembly would be preferred

Personal Attributes-

• Ability to learn and comprehend electrical schematics, codes/electrical safety, electrical/electronic components, single and three-phase power up to and including 600 volts, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical equipment, and welding
• Aptitude for electrical and mechanical equipment
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills, together with a high degree of mechanical expertise and computer knowledge
• Experience/working knowledge of printed circuit board design and manufacturing would be an asset
• Self-motivated, ability to follow up on tasks through to completion

Work Environment

• Ability to bend, twist, lift, and reach
• Ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor
• Ability to work at a computer workstation
• Ability to work flexible hours and be available for overtime as required
• A normal amount of sitting and standing
