Job Profile
The company is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Inspector to join its team.
Education Level
- Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
- 2 years Post-Secondary/Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Visually inspect in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.
- Perform Receiving Inspection, In-process Inspection, and Final Inspection functions
- Use various measuring devices.
- Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
- Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists.
- May monitor and verify quality following statistical processes or other control procedures.
- Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and lift 35 lbs. repetitively.
- Must be able to withstand repetitive contact with water and moisture.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to perform electronic or hybrid inspection of complex electrical assemblies, components, and systems.
- Able to describe nonconformance situations and assist in the cause and resolution.
- Able to review reworked and repaired items for acceptance.
- Able to understand drawings and drawing notes.
- Computer Skills and CAD (preferred)
- Experience with reading blueprints
- Must have reasonably good manual dexterity
