Job Profile

The company is looking for an Electro/Mechanical Technician to join its team.

Education Level

  • Technical Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical discipline (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with safely producing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex and safety-sensitive automated systems
  • Knowledge of electrical codes: NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, NFPA 496, UL 508A, etc.
  • Experience with industrial controls, computer and PLC networks, setup, and assistance.

Certifications

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Becomes an expert in fabrication and electro-mechanical troubleshooting across multiple systems.
  • Develop and execute detailed project production plans with sufficient functional composition to facilitate accurate estimates and execution.
  • Develop and maintain an extensive network and solid working relationship with functional leaders in the following departments/roles across Airgas and AL.
  • Develops and maintains critical relationships with consultants and vendors.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, proposing any adjustments on time.
  • Ensure robust fabrication processes are in place and adhered to: ie: applicable internal/external Codes, ASME and NFPA Standards, regulations, Hazops, DOEs, SOPs, etc.
  • Has the ability to work in fast paced environment to hit time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Manage internal/external test collaborations.
  • Manage the documentation, fabrication, test, implementation, and maintenance of gas systems from concept to completion covering the entire product life cycle, specifically assembly drawings and instructions, P&IDs, and schematics.
  • Oversee large project cycles with spend of up to $600K
  • Responsible for tight control of critical parts
  • Work with Quality and Regulatory Teams to ensure products are developed and validated in a manner that complies with applicable local and global regulatory requirements

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, and ability to interpret intricate drawings and instruction manuals.
