Job Profile

The company is seeking an Engineering Draftsman to join its team.

Education Level

• Associate Degree in Drafting or equivalent; High School Diploma will be accepted if you have had drafting classes in HS

Work Experience

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting
• Familiarity with metal fabrication, machining, welding, and shop floor experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Apply concurrent engineering techniques on all projects and, work and communicate closely with all team members from engineering and other functional areas.
• Apply drawing tolerances using spec limits and perform accurate tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Design and analyze layouts, components, and detail drawings for new products with a Project Manager and design team.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all CAD work and maintain well-organized records; utilize 3D modeling software to produce new 3D models and drawings, and drawings of revised designs.
• Work closely with development and test engineers to create appropriate test and validation plans for new and revised plans.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to use basic gages for measurement (micrometer, caliper, height gages)
• Apply drawing tolerances using spec limits and perform accurate tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and careful attention to detail.
• Qualified candidates can develop descriptive geometry, auxiliary view, projections, sectioning, and tolerance on all engineering drawings.
• Self-motivated to work autonomously.
• Software Used: SolidWorks, Draft sight, Solid Works PDM, AX, Smartsheet
