Job Profile
The company is recruiting an Experienced Welder who will be responsible for working in the process of HVAC refrigeration manufacturing.
Fuse metal materials together using high heat equipment and welding processes such as MIG and TIG welding
Work with a range of materials and equipment in fitting and assembling metal components to form structures.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants require a High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum 4 years of work experience with MIG/TIG welding
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing operation
- Must be able to pass a 6g certification weld test with MIG and TIG
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in training Welder I and II
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols by wearing protective gloves, masks, and boots
- Keep an organized and clean work area
- Monitor equipment operation to ensure temperature conditions are optimal
- Operate crane and forklift
- Operate hand-welding and flame-cutting equipment such as oxyacetylene torch
- Perform advanced technique weldments on sheet metal, carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and copper with no leaks
- Perform leak test
- Perform preventative maintenance on weld machines
- Perform weldments with exceptional appearance
- Read blueprints and drawings to identify welding measurements and position
- Troubleshoot product issues with minimal assistance
- Under General Supervision:
- Use a variety of air and electric hand tools
- Additional duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to clean and maintain tooling/equipment in proper working condition
- Ability to communicate well and work well with fellow employees
- Ability to effectively change machinery for multiple set-ups given various product lines and material requirements
- Ability to keep a clean and safe work area
- Ability to read a tape measure and ruler and to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
- Ability to read mechanical engineered drawings
- Ability to use precision hand tools such as square, protractor, and caliper
- Ability to weld pipe/tubing leak-free
- Have an excellent attendance record
- Knowledge of engineered specified tolerances
- Organized, self-starter, with the ability to work unsupervised while meeting all product quality requirements
Physical Demands
- Lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Perform repetitive motions
- Plant environment with potential exposure to bad weather, excessive heat, and/or excessive noise
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, and working at heights
