Job Profile
The company is hiring a Fabrication Coordinator to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED (strongly preferred)
Work Experience
- Generally, 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility
- Customer service and team-building experience (preferred)
- Experience in the Fire Protection Industry or Fabrication knowledge (preferred but not required)
- Experience with listing software systems (preferred)
License/Certification
- Specialized skills Training/Certification (may be required)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Communicates with customers to ensure accuracy with their fabrication lists and makes suggestions as needed for easier installation.
- Creates quotes on fire protection fabrication materials for customers and follows up with the sales branch to make adjustments and send them to the customer.
- Handles fabrication schedules and updates for customers as needed on their current and previous orders.
- Keeps track of all quotes by the fabrication branch and provides each branch with a monthly report.
- Maintains monthly reports to update branches on their customer data.
- Responds to customer questions and problems.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Effective in tracking materials and meeting project deadlines
- Ensures quality control and adherence to specifications
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Skilled in production planning and workflow management
- Strong coordination between engineering and shop floor teams
Work Environment
- Fast-paced with tight deadlines and shifting priorities
- May require wearing PPE in manufacturing environments
- Occasional overtime or extended hours to meet project goals
- Regular interaction with engineers, technicians, and suppliers
- Split between office settings and fabrication/shop floor
