Job Profile
The company is hiring a Fabrication Machine Operator to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants may be required a High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Check machinery and complete autonomous maintenance calendars (CLIR) on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
- Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
- Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
- Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and established practices and processes.
- Maintain necessary records and record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Move materials as necessary in the performance of duties.
- Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects through the completion of suggestions and kaizens.
- Perform different jobs including plasma cutting, bending, and drilling.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate a large number of parts.
- Set up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including plasma cutting, bending, and drilling.
- Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production, ensuring that the results of the machining process align with expectations.
- Perform other duties as required or directed.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated experience working on repair-specific activities or as a floater on the assembly line and meets full expectations of the role.
