Job Profile

The company is hiring a Fabrication Machine Operator to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants may be required a High School Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Work Experience

• Possess work-related experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Check machinery and complete autonomous maintenance calendars (CLIR) on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
• Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
• Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
• Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and established practices and processes.
• Maintain necessary records and record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Move materials as necessary in the performance of duties.
• Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects through the completion of suggestions and kaizens.
• Perform different jobs including plasma cutting, bending, and drilling.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
• Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate a large number of parts.
• Set up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including plasma cutting, bending, and drilling.
• Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production, ensuring that the results of the machining process align with expectations.
• Perform other duties as required or directed.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated experience working on repair-specific activities or as a floater on the assembly line and meets full expectations of the role.
