Job Profile

The company (Boeing Commercial Airplanes) is recruiting a Fabrication Specialist (Associate/Mid-Level) to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma (preferred)

Typical Education/Experience

  • Associate (Level B): High School Diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate)
  • Pay: $49,500-$60,500
  • Mid-Level (Level C): High School Diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate +2 years of related work, Bachelor, etc.)
  • Pay: $56,700-$69,300

Work Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in CNC machining
  • 3+ years of experience reading established engineering drawings and specifications
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
  • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
  • Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
  • Assembles, repairs, modifies, and installs various power plants and drive trains.
  • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
  • Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
  • Performs composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks.
  • Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, tube bending, and fabrication tasks.
  • Prepares test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests.
  • Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.
