Job Profile

The company is hiring a Fabrication Supervisor who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations.

Creates and maintains a working environment that allows parts to be manufactured for various customers and insists that parts are manufactured in a safe and timely manner while meeting the customers’ quality standards.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Possess 5+ years of previous supervisor experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Achieve the shift metrics, as assigned by Department Manager.
  • Assist in determining how many employees are needed to meet customer requirements. Interview potential new employees. Make recommendations on which candidates to hire.
  • Lead the team in manufacturing quality parts to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Occasionally interact with customers, suppliers, and employees from other Hydro Extrusion plants.
  • Perform administrative tasks and maintain administrative records for the shift, including required production reporting, training needs and skills assessments, time and attendance, disciplinary action, performance management, and payroll forms.
  • Perform regular shift meetings for communication of shift goals and results and to perform required safety training.
  • Prioritize shift assignments and available staffing/coverage to meet shift safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Promote a safe work environment, following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership in implementing and managing the prioritization of work tasks.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and developmental guidance for all employees.
  • Work with maintenance and tool room personnel by scheduling times for machine and equipment repair, preventative maintenance, etc. so as not to interfere with the production schedule.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to make decisions based on the logical analysis of facts and alternatives and have the understanding and acceptance of those affected
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • SAP familiarity (highly desired)
  • Self-starter; adaptable to change; ability to prioritize needs; professionalism and strong organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of stamping, welding, assembly, and machining processes (highly desired)
