The company is searching for a Fabrication Supervisor to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED (required)
- College Degree (preferred)
Work Experience
- Possess 4 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (highly desired)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Actively participates in safety programs.
- Arrives 30 minutes prior to the assigned shift to execute hand-off with the prior shift’s Supervisor.
- Collaborates with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas.
- Ensures safety and quality policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensures that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete job tasks.
- Inspects quality and quantity of supplies and equipment delivered to the team.
- Keeps team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
- Monitors productivity, machinery, and the employees’ work to suggest improvements in the production process.
- Must be accessible to the production floor 75% of the time.
- Must be willing to learn all functions of jobs on a team or within a cell.
- Resolves the conflicts that arise among team members or other employees
- Responsible for continuous on-the-job training (OJT) in all processes associated with production, quality, and safety requirements on a day-to-day basis.
- Responsible for documenting corrective actions and termination requests with administrative support
- Responsible for tracking and communication of production deliverables.
- Understands and supports the foundational operational disciplines of safety, 5S, lean manufacturing, and standard work.
- Updates and maintains timely production and downtime data for tracking and keeps production and operations manager aware of the production area’s performance, as needed or required.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Experience in a unionized environment (a plus)
- Fluency in English. Fluency in other languages (a plus)
- Knowledge of applicable production processes including but not limited to CNC, press, bender, welding, and assembly operations (strongly preferred)
- Manufacturing experience (strongly preferred)
- Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote
