Job Profile

The company searching for a Fabricator Fitter to join its team for various fabrication and erection needs.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• The candidates should have 12 months of training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in overhead crane operation is helpful.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assembles and fits drawing dimensions of all kinds of the structural, plate, and mechanical materials into various types of assemblies.
• Layouts fit and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, such as frames, bridge parts, beams, and columns.
• Read and understand fabrication drawings.
• Receives instructions, prints, sketches, and work orders. Reads and interprets blueprints and plans the fitting operation.
• Use dimensions and fitter skills to layout and fit detail parts accordingly.
• Verify the accuracy of fit-up prior to sending to inspection.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to read shop drawings.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be proficient in the full skills of the trade.
• Previous extensive experience is required for all aforementioned positions that will be acting in the capacity of leading a team of production employees.

Certificates and Licenses

• Current OSHA and welding certifications are required.
