Job Profile

The company is hiring a Metal Fabricator who will involve in the cutting and forming of metal parts and operating industrial machine tools to complete customer and stock orders in a conveyor shop.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicants may be required a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

  • The candidates should have previous in a production environment
  • Experience with grinding tools and machines preferred
  • Experience with ironworkers
  • Experience with shear and/or press brake is preferred
  • Experience with tack welding is a plus

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Check and inspect operation against predetermined tolerances
  • Cut parts using shear press
  • Form metal parts using press brake
  • Inspect welds throughout the process and use grinding tools when necessary
  • Maintain machine and work area in a clean and safe manner
  • Maneuver large, awkward, or heavy parts manually or with a crane
  • Work from process sheets, blueprints, or other written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks
  • Work in other areas or departments as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to work with others and be a team player
  • Accuracy
  • Fab Shop related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledge
  • Physically able to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components
  • Read blueprints and work orders to complete parts
  • Reliability
  • Simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English
  • Stand for an entire shift consistently
  • Work scheduled hours and comply with the company’s timekeeping policy and all other company policies
