Job Profile
The company is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician who will inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, replace, or repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and mobile equipment and tooling throughout the plant.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Possess experience with manufacturing equipment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Accountable for Repair and Maintenance budgets
- Accountable for the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) process and compliance with TPM goals and objectives.
- Accountable for troubleshooting or repair of all plant equipment and tooling.
- Adheres, and understands Lockout/Tagout procedures on all equipment.
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts, assemblies, and machine equipment.
- Audits TPM compliance to ensure employees are following daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
- Educates and trains employees on basic maintenance of equipment through the TPM program; grease, oil, clean, and adjust mechanical and mobile equipment
- Inspects mechanical, troubleshoots, electrical and mobile equipment to determine required maintenance.
- Keeps preventive/corrective maintenance records on all equipment in the Green Book.
- Liaison with Mfg. Engineering to ensure equipment is sustained to OEM standard.
- Maintains all plant hand tools, power tools, cranes, hoists, trucks, welders, and torches.
- Moves and installs various pieces of equipment as required.
- Performs other duties as directed by Plant Management or Mfg. Engineering.
- Performs welding, burning, brazing, and soldering as required to maintain plant equipment.
- Provide technical training as required to plant personnel.
- Reads and interprets blueprints for repair and installation of equipment.
- Reports to Plant Manager for all repair and compliance duties.
- Requisitions replacement parts for defective equipment.
- Other duties assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Demonstrates ability to read and understand blueprints
- Demonstrates understanding of mechanical/electrical problems and fixes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity and the ability to troubleshoot Drives and PLCs
- Good organizational skills
- Good root-cause problem-solving skills
Tools/Equipment-
- Electric welder, gas welding and burning equipment, various power tools, meters, gauges, automotive and electrical test equipment, and miscellaneous machine and hand tools.
Materials-
- Grease, oil, welding rods, wire, pipe, replacement parts, and various maintenance supplies.
