Job Profile
The company is searching for a Facility Maintenance Technician to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have an Associate’s Degree in the Technical Field (college/university) and 2 years of experience in facilities/plant maintenance OR
- Certification in Boiler and HVAC systems (preferred)
Work Experience
- possess a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a facilities/plant environment
- Must have strong knowledge of Utility, Boiler, HVAC, and Air Compressor systems and codes
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assembles, installs, and maintains water, steam, and pneumatic plumbing systems, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Assist in developing PMs per OEM and engineering recommendations to maximize production uptime and minimize maintenance costs. Performs PM work.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Coordinate all equipment repairs/changes/modifications with engineering supervision.
- Install and repair electrical components, such as transformers, relays, switches, switchgear, wiring, printed circuit boards, etc. of machinery and equipment.
- Install, program, or repair programmable controllers.
- Maintain Boiler system chemical treatment.
- Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Perform installation, diagnostics, and repairs on facility equipment and systems: Electrical service, wiring, switch gear; Plumbing system; HVAC system; Boiler system; Air Compressor system.
- Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
- Train as First Responder and respond to medical emergencies or chemical spills.
- Work proactively and implement improvements necessary to eliminate recurring equipment problems.
- Working with facilities drawings and electrical/plumbing schematics, diagnosing problems, initiating orders for and installing new or repaired parts.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to climb or balance.
- Must occasionally lift or move 50 pounds or more.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
