Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Facility Manager who will be responsible for providing maintenance and technical support to the manufacturing processes and all other functional areas.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Facility Management, or Engineering is strongly preferred but not required with applicable years of experience.
Work Experience
- 5 or more years of experience
- Welding, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Allocate responsibilities to direct reports based on their skills.
- Assign tasks and duties to the maintenance team to minimize downtime related to repairs/maintenance
- Capability to manage multiple contractors on projects while ensuring all parties follow HSE policies and facility safety regulations
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Creating and continuously developing preventive maintenance programs to ensure performance and durability of the facility equipment
- Direct maintenance department in providing maintenance and fabrication support throughout the facility.
- Ensure efficient operation of all electrical equipment
- Ensure efficient operation of equipment by repairing and maintaining as needed
- Ensure that all work is performed safely.
- Extensive knowledge of thermocouples, transducers, and pressure transducers.
- Extensive knowledge of Hydraulics.
- Extensive knowledge of Pneumatics.
- Fabricate fixtures and stands as required.
- Install new equipment as required.
- Maintain a good work environment and mentor employees in learning new trades and skills.
- Maintain all mechanical, electrical, and electronic manufacturing equipment for all production lines (Winding, Finishing, Fittings, LDP, etc.).
- Maintain facility equipment, calling support as required, i.e., Plumbers, Electricians, AC Techs, etc.
- Maintaining all equipment in the San Antonio facility
- Manage and maintain San Antonio computer control systems
- Participate in capital budget discussions related to facility maintenance and improvements
- Responsible for hazardous waste disposal
- Service, program, and repair air compressors, Hydraulic units, etc.
- Service, program, and repair on VFD, PLC, etc.
- Strong aptitude and creativity for equipment troubleshooting
- Supervise day and night shift teams.
- Welding (MIG, TIG & Stick)
- Perform other duties as assigned by Production Managers.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to lift 50 pounds required
- Able to stand for long periods
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Computer literacy in software and hardware (Including MS Office Excel, Word, MS Project, etc.)
- Effective communicator (written and verbal)
- Electrical Knowledge (480V – 3 Phase, 277V – 3 Phase)
- Exemplify good housekeeping skills
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing plant needs
- Must be detail-oriented
- PLC and VDF knowledge
- Teamwork is required
Working Conditions
- Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but is not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes, and hard hats.
- Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds.
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
