Job Profile

The company is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic who will safely and professionally perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools

License/Certification

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed
• Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner
• Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
• Other duties assigned as needed

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Work Environment

• Exposed to noise, dirt, grease, and physical strain
• Frequently travels to remote or off-site locations
• Handles heavy equipment and tools regularly
• Often works long or irregular hours, including weekends
• Works outdoors in various weather conditions
