Job Profile

The company is hiring an FSE Manager who will also be available and willing to participate in normal field service engineering duties such as-

  • On-site inspections of air pollution control equipment
  • Troubleshooting and documentation of issues with equipment
  • Relaying information to customers and other SF-EEC employees, etc.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicants should be either a Bachelors (program) or better in Engineering or related field.

Work Experience

  • Experience in industrial settings repairing, maintaining, and inspecting various pieces of vital equipment.
  • Experience in office settings and the ability to work remotely as needed
  • QC Welding inspection experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assisting PM in adding FSE into their quote (calculating time-on-site, etc.)
  • Creation of procedures/training for on-site FSEs (SOPs of certain inspection procedures)
  • Outage packets for FSE to visit the site (old reports, the scope of work, safety training, communication with PMs, etc.)
  • Over the phone troubleshooting with customers regarding ESP issues
  • Performing on-site inspections
  • Quoting “inspector only” site visits
  • Report proofreading, distribution. Discuss with customer areas of concern on reports.
  • Reviewing and Approving Timesheets/Expenses
  • Scheduling/orchestrating site visits for FSEs (includes assisting in travel plans if needed, international travel paperwork, etc.)
  • Be responsible for communicating, coordinating, and assisting with the Southern Field-EEC parts department manager, parts warehouse personnel, project managers, and on-site FSEs to facilitate and generate parts inquiries and/or orders to customers.

Additional Responsibilities-

  • Assists with outage pricing worksheets. Working with a PM and RFQ/Scope to create a parts list for upcoming outages. This includes parts research, RFQs to vendors/fabricators, receipt of quotes, markup, and creation of lists for a PM to put into their quotes.
  • Assists with parts quoting to customer. Includes RFQ to vendors for parts pricing, mark-up, and quote creation/distribution to customers.
  • Assists with parts research (EEC files, old quotes, reviewing customer’s drawings, etc)

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to work long hours in possibly difficult conditions/extreme environments (heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, etc.)
  • Good technical writing skills and ability to relay information efficiently
  • Must be a team player and work well with others to complete difficult tasks and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (in person, e-mail, and telephone) while maintaining a high degree of professionalism.
  • Must be able to work/crawl/climb around the equipment as needed.
  • Must be team-oriented and able to work as part of a construction crew ranging in size from 2 to 100 with high expectations from the customer and SF-EEC management.
  • Must be technically oriented with experience in electronics, instrumentation, mechanics, and commissioning equipment.
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient blueprint reading skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong research skills including clear documentation of said research
  • Valid driver’s license and transportation
  • Valid passport (or the ability to acquire, if needed)

Other Contributing Skills-

  • Knowledge of the kraft paper making process and/or industrial boiler operation
  • Background in industrial construction, air-flow analysis, AutoCAD (or similar drafting software)
  • Industrial electrical background (transformers/rectifiers, electronic controls, instrumentation, etc.)

Physical Demands

  • Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
  • Must be physically capable of accessing all job site locations.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 50% travel throughout the year.
