Job Profile

The company is hiring a Field Service Technician (HVAC) to join it steam.

Education Level

  • Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

  • 3+ years of field operations experience in the oil/gas industry
  • HVAC experience with medium to high voltage (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assists in operations by maintaining all electrical equipment including safety systems.
  • Fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork and chassis parts, using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment.
  • Installs, calibrates, services, modifies and repairs heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, and related environmental-control systems utilizing knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout; this also includes system malfunction diagnosis.
  • Maintains current technical knowledge of government and company policies, codes, and regulations.
  • Mounts compressor and condenser units on platform or floor, using hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications.
  • Prepares material lists for materials needed to support any HVAC activities.
  • Prepares written or computer-generated purchase orders and, when necessary, maintains proper levels of equipment inventories.
  • Receives written, diagrammatic, or verbal instructions and determines appropriate actions for all work performed; Prepares written work orders for other personnel to complete repair, maintenance, installation, and testing tasks.
  • Replaces faulty wiring and electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, printed circuit boards, and position sensing devices.
  • Responsible for following safety procedures and maintaining safety data.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Extensive working knowledge of field and production operations
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Access, Excel, etc.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, team-building, and people development skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
