Job Profile

The company is looking for a Field Welder who will provide general construction labor tasks, in an efficient and safe manner, as part of welding for precast panels.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Certified Welder will be a plus.

Work Experience

• The candidates should have 2+ years of construction or manual labor experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Completes general construction labor tasks necessary to caulk precast concrete panels
• Follows established safety procedures and policies
• Handles equipment in a responsible manner
• May perform work of a miscellaneous nature as directed by the foreperson
• Takes work direction from welding crew foreperson
• Uses materials/supplies in an efficient manner

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions
• Ability to obtain membership to local Laborers union
• Ability to work from ladders and aerial work platforms above 20 feet
• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct at all times
• General knowledge of construction practices
• Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation

Physical Requirements

• Field – must be able to traverse uneven ground, move a minimum of 50 lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, climb on a flatbed semi-trailer

Work Environment

• Field – all types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehicles
