Job Profile

The company is seeking a Finish Grinder who will prepare weldments for the powder coat paint system by grinding, sanding, or polishing imperfections from the welding or fabrication process.

Education Level

• High School Diploma

Work Experience

• 1 year of relevant experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Grinds, sands, or polishes weldments in preparation for powder coat painting
• Inspects weldments for obvious defects such as but not limited to weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds, and sharp corners/edges
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility or location

Work Environment

• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
• Ability to stand or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
• Moderate physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25 to 50 lbs.), and occasionally lifting heavy weight materials (up to 70 lbs.)
