The company is searching for a Fitter/Pipe Fabricator to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Work Experience

• Experience in the field or related area

Duties/Responsibilities

• Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Cut metal plates or structural shapes.
• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together in various body positions. – Bolt, clamp, and weld together metal components of products, such as piping systems, plates, pipes, and tube or structural shapes.
• Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• May clean or degrease weld joints or workplace, using wire brush, or portable grinder.
• Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
• Preheat the workpiece, using a hand torch.
• Remove excess weld, defective weld material, slag, and spatter, using a handheld grinder or gas torch, hand scrapper, grinder, or power chipper.
• Work in conjunction with other departments (Cutting operations and bay pulling) to ensure all relative materials are properly staged and ready for fabrication.
