Job Profile

The company is looking for a Fleet Vehicle Mechanic who will be responsible for the maintenance of company-owned tractors and tanker trailers.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• 3-5 years of strong vehicle maintenance/repair experience
• Diesel engine troubleshooting/repair experience
• Welding knowledge and experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Document/record Hazmat and OSHA requirements
• Document/record work performed electronically on a computer-based maintenance system
• Ensure the fleet is in compliance with DOT regulations
• Perform electrical/electronic repairs on tractors and trailers
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as necessary on over-the-road Class A tractors, tanker trailers, and tube trailers
• Perform road repairs when necessary
• Run parts room within the facility’s budget

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12-volt DC circuits
• Must be able to work overtime depending on business needs
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Strong mechanical background, with some computer experience/skills
• Valid Class A CDL (preferred though not required)
• Validated work history
