Job Profile

The company is seeking a Gantry Machine Operator who will set up, run, and troubleshoot all site-specific CNC and conventional machines and machining processes.

Experience working with a variety of CNC and conventional machines.

Able to design and manufacture complex tooling.

Expected to provide leadership and mentoring to lower-level machinists. This includes providing assistance and training as needed.

This position typically requires 5 or more years of machinist experience.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not required)

Work Experience

• 5+ years of machinist experience
• Evidence of successfully leading or mentoring others

Duties/Responsibilities

• Design, manufacture, and validate tooling for several production needs.
• Level 1-3 responsibilities may apply to level four, with the following additional duties:
• Mentor lower-level machinists as well as provide area leadership.
• Provide the site with full cross-training flexibility in the operation of machine platforms.
• Without assistance, troubleshoot and assist lower-level machinists.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Advanced ability in job setup and verification of all tooling, program, and machine platforms.
• Advanced understanding of CNC programming, editing, and tooling creation.
• Complex troubleshooting skills applied to a wide range of production processes.
• Intermediate CAD/CAM
• Mentoring and leadership skills.
• Requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
