Job Profile

The company is searching for a General Operator who will control the operation of single or multiple production machines for manufacturing products.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assembles products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following blueprints or diagrams.
  • Constant awareness of OE customer product requirements to ensure high-quality products are consistently produced and shipped.
  • Operates hand or power tools, or production equipment.
  • Rotate within the department as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
  • Frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds, possibly multiple times a day.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of radiation from welding processes.
  • Occasionally exposed to humid conditions and heat.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

EHS Requirements

  • While on the manufacturing floor, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and safety shoes must be worn.
  • With welding operations, full welding gear should be worn if exposed to welding flash, heat, and sparks.
