Job Profile

The company is hiring an Engineering Manager who will lead a team of engineers and designers in developing state-of-the-art hardware to improve some of the most difficult and interesting challenges in robotics.

This position will report to the Director of Hardware.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have a BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering from a college/university or equivalent qualification.

Work Experience

• The candidates should have previous experience in leading a team of mechanical design engineers with expertise in automation equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Build and develop a strong engineering culture, responsible for delivering creative and scalable solutions
• Collaborate closely with the AI, Robotics, Software, and Welding teams to help drive projects to completion.
• Execute existing product strategy and provide insights for future product roadmaps and hardware designs.
• Manager, direct and support the mechanical and electrical engineering teams. Hire, train, develop, coach, and reward staff members.
• Systematically consider and communicate tradeoffs between costs, resources, risks, and timelines.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to manage within cross-functional organizations developing complex products
• Fluent in SolidWorks, including structural and thermal FEA
• Have hands-on prototyping, machine shop, precision assembly experience
• Have pneumatic system design experience
• Knowledge of common materials and finishes
