Job Profile

The company is seeking a Header Welder who will play a key role in the manufacturing process.

Must be willing to work overtime and pass 2 weld tests – a 6G Tig test on carbon steel 2” pipe and a 2G weld test.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants require a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

  • Possess 1 to 3 years of related experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to lay out, burn holes, fit and weld nozzles
  • Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness
  • Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process
  • Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques
  • Makes quality visual U.T. and x-ray welds
  • Performs a variety of tasks
  • Promotes and supports safety and production

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • May be required to complete an apprenticeship or formal training in an area of specialty
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
  • Ability to operate overhead-crane
  • Familiarity with welding machines and hand tools
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Ability to work under general supervision
  • Ability to work different shifts
  • Ability to pass 6G Tig test on carbon steel 2” pipe
  • Ability and willingness to learn to operate basic cutting equipment
  • Ability to lift
  • Possesses positive attitude
